Verdad y Redencion

Verdad y Redencion (Truth and Redemption) is an autonomous, self-sustaining Presbyterian church in Ciudad Juarez.  It is Pastored by Pastor Robelio Roblero Arreaga who was called by God to ministry in 1964.  He attended seminary and he and his wife Flor have served in several churches prior to moving to Juarez in 1992.

Verdad y Redencion has a membership of around 150 and is in the process of constructing a new church building.  This has been made possible by a very generous gift by the First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, one of the Arrow Outreach Partner churches.

The church continues with Sunday services and weekly Youth and Women’s meetings in the partially constructed church, and there are plans underway for increased outreach and service to the community as the buildings are ready for use, projected for late in 2010.

Part of Pastor Robelio’s ministry has involved working with mission churches.  One of these dreams involved an old abandoned mission church on a piece of land close to the Juarez prison. He dreamed of a center to serve the community and to help people coming to see their loved ones in prison.  In 2002, the Toribio Family Center was opened, also operating as a small, and growing mission church called Verdad Y Salvacion.
